Who says a basement bathroom has to be ordinary?

We love an opportunity to explore unexpected materials, push creative boundaries, and bring a little personality into the spaces that might otherwise be overlooked.

For this bathroom, the vision was something bold yet refined, with playful sophistication and a mix of finishes that feel anything but conventional.

Gold mirrored and matte black tile create a striking backdrop at the vanity, while a detailed botanical tile mural brings color, movement, and an artistic element to the shower. Complementary textures and tile selections throughout add depth, allowing each material to make its own statement while contributing to a cohesive design.

The details extend well beyond the finishes. A reeded cabinet door style introduces another layer of texture, adding subtle dimension and visual interest to the vanity. Illuminated mirrors, motion-activated toe-kick lighting, and a tall recessed shower niche with integrated lighting bring thoughtful layers of function and contemporary detailing to the space.

The result is a space that feels luxurious, unexpected, and distinctly personal, where even the smallest details have been considered.

Because even the most understated spaces deserve a little extraordinary.
